Pets
Pets are welcome in most caravans but NOT in lodges. For guests with pet allergies we have caravans we want to keep as pet free caravans. So pets are not allowed in those caravans.
Please tell us at the time of booking if you are planning to bring your pets.
- Dogs and cats must be declared.
- We charge £6 per dog or cat per night or £30 per dog or cat per week.
- Other small pets such as hamsters and birds are free of charge as long as you tell us when booking that you are planning to bring them.
- For undeclared dogs or cats we will charge £50 per dog or cat.
For the comfort of other guests and the welfare of your dog we ask that the following rules are obeyed:
- Dogs or cats own bedding must be brought during your stay.
- Dogs must be kept under control and be kept on a lead at all times.
- Dog or cat foul must be cleared up.
- No pets in pet free caravans.
- Dogs must not be left unattended in the caravans at any time.
Important information
- Your holiday home will be available to check in from 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is at 10am on the day of departure
- New arrivals welcome from 4pm until 10pm (please note if you arrive later than 10pm you will not be able to access your accomodation)
- Car parking for one vehicle is provided adjacent to most holiday homes and additional vehicles must be parked (free of charge) on the park's private car park
- In the interests of Health and Safety and the comfort of other guests Smoking is NOT permitted inside the lodges or caravans
- Pets are not allowed in the pet free caravans and lodges
Travel information
- Travelling without a car to and from Greenhowe? Take the bus. You can stand at the bottom of the caravan park and the bus (Service No:516) will pick you up directly from there. The bus will be at the entrance to the caravan park roughly 5 minutes after it has left from Dungeon Ghyll bus stop. It will take you to our local village of Chapel Stile, and also to further towns such as Ambleside, Windermere and Kendal.
